Pamela Habing ~ Contemporary Abstract Artist
Pamela Habing is a Contemporary Abstract Artist living in beautiful Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Foregoing formal arts training, instead she studied informally under some of Winnipeg’s most talented artists. She spent 8 years living in an artist loft above the Edge Art Gallery on Main Street, immersed in Winnipeg’s vibrant arts scene. During this time she experimented with many different mediums but ultimately found her niche as a mixed media abstract artist. Her current loves are alcohol inks and tile mosaics.
A graduate of the Digital Multimedia Technology Diploma Program at Red River College, Pamela initially began her artistic career as a New Media Designer in 2004. During this time she worked closely with MAWA (Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art), developing and delivering hands on training geared towards helping female artists realize their dream of showcasing their work online.
Pamela isn’t shy to admit that art is therapy for her. Particularly during the winter months when seasonal depression kicks in. She encourages others to make art as therapy and hopes her art sparks curiosity in others to explore, create and have fun.
